These are the original Tympani 1 3-panel planar speakers from Magnepan, the ones that started it all. Amazing coherency, speed and purity.

Unfortunately, this pair of Tympani 1 does not work. They each measures a dead short. The Magnepan factory still refurbishes these at a very reasonable cost. If you arrange a return authorization with the factory, we can ship them directly to the factory for you.

The original boxes with internal packings labeled Audio Research Corporation are included (ARC used to handle distribution for Magnepan early on). These original boxes with internal packings alone are worth the selling price - highly collectible and almost impossible to find. The factory stands and bolts are also included.
